This walk takes you up through the village of Chlomatiana and down through Vraganiotika, along a stretch of main road and then quiet tracks back to the start. There are a selection of views including Aghios Matheos mountain and Korission Lake

This walk, especially the longer one, is particularly nice in May as there are an abundance of wild flowers and butterflies.

The start is at Chlomatiana on the main Messongi to Argirades road. At the crossroads park down on the side of the road (which soon becomes a track) just past a small cafe on the right near the Villa Doris sign.

From the crossroads take the road uphill to Chlomatiana passing through olive groves. On reaching the village take the left turn at the junction signposted Kerkyra and Vraganiotika. (you may wish to have a look around the village first). Soon there are views on the left to the sea and then ahead of MT. Aghios Matheos. Carry on down through Vraganiotika to reach the main road. Here turn left along the main road and out of the village. On reaching a left hand bend turn right onto a narrow track. At the next junction ignore a right hand track and carry on to the left, passing a house on the left, to reach a wider track.

For the SHORT walk turn left here and follow this track back to the crossroads at the start.

For the LONGER walk turn right here and follow this wider track along and up passing a very small church on the left. Carry on down and at a crossing track go straight on. At the next junction turn left and carry on, ignoring a track off to the right, passing a green factory type building on the right. This track takes you through olive groves and past prickly pears, zizyphus and eucalyptus trees.

As the track ascends there are good views of Korission Lake behind you. Carry on back to the crossroads at the start.
